Fulham FC hosted 4th Active Fans seminar

On 27th and 28th of March 2019, EFDN and network members came together in London for the 4th Active Fans project seminar. Hosted by Fulham FC, the clubs shared their experiences from the first delivery phase. 

The participating clubs had the chance to ask questions about the methodology and its implementation. The workbook that was translated into different languages and guides the 12-week sport and lifestyle programme, the organisation of the medical test of the interested participants and the results of the first groups were discussed. The practitioners took the opportunity to exchange knowledge and best practices with employees from other participating clubs.

On the second day, the clubs gave feedback on the admin project platform. After that, the discussion focused on monitoring & evaluation and finance. In the end, EFDN provided an outlook on the upcoming multiplier events, the Practitioners’ Guide and the App for the European Healthy Football League.

Active Fans aims to reach people (both men and women) over 35 who would like to get physically active again as well as making lifestyle changes and improving their diets. This programme is being funded by Erasmus+ Sport, coordinated by EFDN and it is delivered in collaboration with nine partners. These project partners are: Fulham FC Foundation, Vitesse Betrokken, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Rangers FC Foundation, Ferencvaros TC, PSV Foundation, Feyenoord Rotterdam, KAA Gent and Valerenga Fotball.
